At Chattan Harbour Education Consultancy, this season has been focused on careful construction and strategic clarity as we shape our new leadership development offer: The Harbour Pathway.

Drawing directly from the Headteachers’ Standards 2020 and informed by earlier middle leadership programmes developed in school contexts, The Harbour Pathway is being designed to offer a fresh, rigorous approach to professional growth. At its core are six evidence-based leadership competencies—Adaptability, Capacity, Execution, Influence, Judgement, and Vision—each defined through practical behaviours and aligned to national expectations for educational leadership.

We are currently in the design phase, ensuring every element of the programme reflects both high standards and the lived realities of school leadership. From diagnostic tools to project-based learning, our emphasis remains on sustainable change, reflective practice, and confident, relational leadership.

This is a foundational moment for Chattan Harbour Leadership Studio. We look forward to sharing more as The Harbour Pathway moves closer to launch.
